Sunday Round Up
This weeks sunday round up sees some Valentines love (in a manly kind of way!) heading in the direction of those nice people @ ThinkTankPhoto for deciding to use my pic as part of their Twitter background. Why they should be wanting to scare off potential followers i’m not sure, but i’ll recommend following them anyway because they make some great gear I wouldn’t like to be without!
The Guardian newspaper has an interesting article entitled How We Learned To Love Photoshop and if nothing else, it does at least go to prove that Keira Knightley looks stunning with or without the modern technology! Following up from that, they also have some of the usual examples of Photoshop in action (npi) here
The Deutsche Börse Photography Prize for 2010 exhibition is currently up & running and if you fancy popping along to that you can find all the info at the Photonet site.
Alternatively, if you’re close to Manchester, the Don McCullin exhibition “Shaped By War” is something you really shouldn’t miss.
When it comes to places to visit without leaving the comfort of your armchair, then you may remember a few days ago I mentioned Dav Thomas over at PeakLandscapes. He has a new blog post up today in which he talks not only about the “Wow!” factor, but also Creating The Wowless Factor. Well worth a read and a visit!
When it comes to blogs, another that’s well worth visiting is Jackie Rado’s. Working out of Bangkok her post “Working Communities of Bangkok” is not only well written, it has some beautiful images to go with it too.
Last and most definitely not least, Matt Brandon is back! Take a look at the photo-video of his time spent in Halabja and then head across to the front page to catch up the work he’s been doing instructing NGO’s.
Enjoy the week ahead!
